POSITION: CO MPLIANCE SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR SALARY: £22,000 - £25,000 LOCATION: Bedford HOURS OF WORK: 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday BENEFITS: 20 stats holiday other bens Do you commute to work at a distance and now looking to work in Bedford? If so, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Administrator to support the Practice Manager in all areas of the firm’s business . If you are currently a Compliance or Legal Administrator, we would welcome your CV. JOB DESCRIPTION: Handling a diverse and challenging workload to facilitate the delivery of the firm’s legal services. Duties may include but not be limited to: Reporting to the Practice Manager Assisting with the management of the back office Drafting HR correspondence Co-ordinating the creation of a new company website Occasional day-to-day accounts Recruitment of staff Researching and creating policy updates on regulatory compliance including SRA and SAR’s changes Organisation of the firm’s PII, LEXCEL Practising certificate and CQS renewals Absence management Attending partners meetings Negotiating with third party suppliers and developing organisational and performance systems. Assisting with the development of improved procedures Monitoring compliance and other regulatory procedures across the business Liaising with senior management Answer telephone, screen and direct calls - take and relay messages Extensive internal liaison - dealing with general queries Ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times Ensuring that the company image is maintained to a high standard Working on your own initiative General administration- filing, faxing and photocopying PERSON SPECIFICATION Ideally with experience already gained from within Compliance based work Good level of knowledge of Risk & Compliance issue, ideally from within a legal or financial services environment Excellent organisational skills and the ability to find solutions to complex issues will therefore be essential This is a hands-on role suited to a dedicated professional who thrives under pressure and would like to become an integral part of a practices continued success Excellent IT skills A detail-orientated approach The role will include some manual handling. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
