Overview
We are working with a friendly Software company based around the TN6 post code that are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their support team. Our client provides software for the retail industry so having previous experience working in retail software would be an advantage but not essential. Having previous experience working with SQL Servers would also be an advantage. As an Application Support Engineer: You will be responsible for dealing with client’s questions and technical issues. You will be hands on and experienced with Software Application Support and will have the ability to pick up new systems quickly as their software is constantly being updated and developed. You will have a passion for learning new systems and skills and enjoy working within a team to help ensure our clients systems runs smoothly and all issues are resolved as soon as possible. You will be friendly but professional in your approach as you will be speaking with clients over the telephone so you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. This Application Support Engineer role is desktop based with the occasional onsite visit to clients which may include staying away from home. This will be very infrequent however a Full Driving Licence is required.
