Multiple positions available About the Ground Worker Role: Working mainly in domestic environments. Marking out and erecting timber fencing / posts / gates. Lifting and relaying flags Building walls / pillars. Operating various ground works machines such as lawn mowers and ground maintenance equipment. Perform assessment on work schedules and collect all materials as per job/task required. Maintain records of site before and after the work in form of photographs. Manage all tools and equipment necessary for ground work. Set out drainage/ land waste drains Marking out and digging shallow trenches for foundations and drains Road working - concreting, laying kerbs, paving and resurfacing Ensuring all PPE is provided and present prior to engaging on task. Ensuring you have materials and equipment provided before you undertake task. Ensuring that the task is deliverable within the time allocation Ensuring all works do not present a hazard or danger to others Ensuring all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging on task Ensuring asbestos survey is present prior to undertaking works Ensuring all certifications for plant is present and up to date prior to use. The ideal Ground Worker: Must have full or automatic UK driving driver licence hold for minimum 12 months Ability to do undertake strenuous tasks. Ability to work in all weather. Workers must be punctual and reliable. Previous experience as a general labourer is preferred. Ability to use small hand tools Ability to operate small hand held plant such as drills and breakers Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to work within a team environment Basic construction skills would be advantageous.
