Overview

Occupational Health Nurse – Barking, London. F/T or P/T, £36K OH314 We are working with an OH Provider to source a Registered Nurse for an Occupational Health Nurse role in Barking, London. This role will support the OH Nurse Manager at the Barking Riverside Project with the provision of an occupational health service. You will undertake health checks including safety critical medicals and health surveillance. You will participate in the delivery of a health program to improve the health and wellbeing of employees. The role will involve the delivery of wellbeing and OH services at other sites across London as requested. Duties & Responsibilities Wellbeing Support the Clinical Nurse Manager in the development and deliver annual wellbeing program site wide for Barking to include monthly campaigns of general and construction related health topics Develop and deliver onsite toolbox talks as directed Develop and deliver Powerpoint presentations as directed Design and prepare supporting material including posters, flyers and handouts Liaison with local Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in relation to national health campaigns Deliver lifestyle screening with the development of personal lifestyle plans for patients and follow-up care Carry out peripatetic wellbeing activities on our client sites across Greater London Fitness for work screening Pre-placement medical screening Safety critical medicals Screening can include lung function tests, audiometry tests, drug and alcohol screening and night worker assessments Health Surveillance Screening Onsite liaison with Occupational Hygienist Carrying out health surveillance screening based on relevant occupational health risks (including, skin, HAVS, lung and noise health surveillance) You will need to be a Registered Nurse with experience in General Practice, Community Nursing, AE, or Occupational Health. You must be a competent lone worker who is prepared to be flexible in a role that involves some travel to client sites across London from their base in Barking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Practice Nurse, Community Nurse, or AE background looking to gain experience within Occupational Health, or for an Occupational Health Nurse looking for a new challenge. This role can be part time which involves working at Barking 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) or full-time working as above plus Tuesdays and Thursdays at additional sites in an around London. Due to the location a car driver with their own car is preferred. Salary is £36k per annum rising to £37K upon completion of 6-month probation and £38K on completion of first full year following commencement. There is also an annual bonus of up to £3k per annum.
