Firmware Engineer

Bournemouth - Firmware Engineer - Competitive Salary - Aerospace Sector Our client is a leading global company combining state-of-the-art technology for complex air platforms. They deliver customised airborne surveillance, operational readiness training and search and rescue services for military and commercial applications. They have been awarded a long-term MoD contract to design and develop a range of operational training electronic warfare pods on behalf of NATO. Your role will be to develop firmware design architecture, models, configuration of FPGA SoC components, firmware tests and documentation in support of this contract. You will also be involved in review, verification, place and route and meet timing processes. Main Duties: Digital hardware design Firmware lifecycle development RTL design and a background in DSP design VHDL, Timing closure, Requirements capture and Verification Skills and Experience Required: HNC or higher in related discipline Familiar with all major FPGA families and microprocessors Ideally, a background in DSP design and verification The salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
