Overview
Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a global manufacturer of precision parts in Sheffield who are looking for a CMM Programmer / Engineer to join their growing team in 2020. Supporting the introduction and manufacture of both new and existing parts, you will lead the generation of CMM programmes and associated documentation whilst liaising with both engineering functions internally and external suppliers. The CMM Programmer/Engineer's duties and responsibilities will include: - Generating CMM programmes, setting up and proving out programs - Providing first line support for CMM and general inspection whilst prioritising business needs - Rout cause analysis - Interpretation of drawings, technical specifications and product control documentation - Produce associated documentation to support the introduction and manufacture of new and existing parts - Train operators in the use of CMM and other inspection equipment We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience: - CMM Programming experience (Mitutoyo / Zeiss Preferred) - CMM Experience within a related engineering/manufacturing field (Aerospace, Medical and/or Automotive desirable) - Understanding selection and application of quality tools to drive process improvement and root cause analysis - Able to work creatively and pro-actively whilst adhering to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy - Demonstrated ability to read product drawings Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
