Production Operatives - Blend Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is looking to recruit weekend Production Operatives in our Blend Department on a temporary basis, up until the end of 2020. We have vacancies on: •0700-1900 shift; working Saturdays and Sundays only (total of 24 hours per week) •Friday and Saturday night shift. Working hours are 2300-0700 on Friday nights and 1900-0700 on Saturday nights (total of 20 hours per week). Your role will include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling of our products. This is a physically demanding role and involves consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs. The Role -To work as a Production Operative in the Blend Department where the main activities include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling; -Ensure a quality process throughout from the product, to the packaging, to adhering to corporate quality standards; -Ensure relevant paperwork is completed on time, and suggest improvements where applicable; -Adhere to corporate sanitation standards at all times; -Adhere to NWF health and safety policy, reporting any near misses or issues observed relating to quality, safety, sanitation, machinery or throughput to the Department Manager; The Person -Literate and numerate; -Reliable; -Physically fit (the role involves consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs) -Basic health and safety knowledge; -Ability to problem solve; -Computer literate; -Commitment to NWF Banbury Values o“Collaboration”Be One Team o“Flexibility”Be Adaptable and Proactive o“Inspiration”Be A Role Model o“Integrity”Do The Right Thing (First Time, Every Time) o“Efficiency”Eliminate All Kinds of Waste (Time & Materials) o“Responsibility”Take Ownership and Accountability Terms and conditions, include: Working hours and salary : •12 hour continental day shift 0700-1900, Saturday and Sunday, £14.24 per hour (including shift allowance) OR •12 hour continental night shift; 2300-0700 Friday night and 1900-0700 Saturday night, £17.06 per hour (including shift allowance) Benefits - a pension with 3% contributions, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays pro rata, 2 x salary death in service benefit, health care cash plan, as well as many others.
