Overview
Staffline is recruiting for Class 2 multi drop drivers to work for our client based in Newmarket. Pay for the position is PAYE M-F Days £10.85 M-F Nights £11.47 Saturday £12.00 Sunday £14.00 LTD Days £12.25 Nights £13.00 Saturday £13.75 Sunday £16.00 Your time at work You will be part of a team delivering to couriers and sub depots on a set route. You will be expected to deliver up to 20 drops around a local radius. You will check your vehicle for defects and ensure its road worthiness before you set off. You will be tracked on your route for efficient driving and location. Your load will be an assortment of boxes, sacks, bagged clothing and palletised crates. The role will be varied as you deliver to couriers who will forward the loads to the end destinations. You will scan each box or sack as you unload at the courier's address. You will build relationships with each courier as you see them daily and collect returns from them to take back to the depot. You may be assigned as a wave driver which will typically start before 04:00am and you will deliver pallets to sub depots, return to your depot to get loaded again and deliver pallets until your duty is completed. Our perfect worker You will be a safety conscious driver as you will be driving a sign written Hermes vehicle and represent the brand. You will be happy to work up to 11/12 hours per day depending on the role you're assigned to with a determination to provide an excellent service. You will hold a valid UK driving licence, CPC and Digi card with no more than 6 points on your licence with no DRs or INs. You will be reliable and have great communication skills with a very good understanding of English.
