Electronic Security Engineer

ELECTRONIC SECURITY ENGINEER - BASIC SALARY UP TO £28,000 DOE OVERTIME Our client are an established & successful Electronic Security company based in Wigan and they are looking for an Electronic Security Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Basic Salary of £24,000 - £28,000 Overtime Laptop, mobile phone and company vehicle provided. Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours a week). Role & Responsibilities: • You will primarily be responsible for carrying out the installation of access control systems across the UK as well as the fitting of magnetic locks and associated equipment, cabling and testing of IP based data capture terminals as well as onsite hardware fault diagnose and repair during service visits. • Other ad-hoc duties may also be required including the support of hardware and software extending beyond access control (training will be provided), the production of technical documentation for the business processes and supporting the sales team as a technical pre-sales consultant, along with any other duties required by management. • Travelling across the UK when required to attend to various clients on a national basis. • Taking part in a call-out rota. The Ideal Person: • Experience in a range of disciplines (Access control is a must, Intruder and CCTV are beneficial for this role) & have been responsible for delivering NSI standard services. • In depth knowledge of electrical systems, especially LVDC, ideally with relevant qualifications. • Strong interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a 'can do' attitude. • A good understanding of IP networking principles, including client/server communications. • A full clean, UK driving licence and the flexibility to work away from home.
