Overview

Your experience within Trade Compliance/Export Compliance would prove a valuable asset to my corporate client in the Defence industry. You will have the opportunity to lead the export control compliance policy across and be involved in group export compliance activities. You will have the opportunity of working a world leading multi national organisation who are a highly regarded as a leader in export control. This a very senior role within the organisation You will directly report to the Managing Director and head of Compliance function. They currently require the services of a Head of Export Compliance on a permanent basis. This role includes: Providing expertise advise on Export Licencing, dealing with internal and external agencies to ensure company compliance Liaising with government departments, networking internally and externally and helping to drive the business forward to meet export requirements You will Lead and manage the implementation of their national export compliance policy in a consistent manner with other Group policies. Strengthen and deploy an export compliance assessment policy within the company, including spot checks and internal assessment phases. Contribute to the performance of internal assessments and advise for government audits required by the authorities Education/Experience You will have a high level of expertise required in all aspects of export control: UK laws and regulations (both military and dual-use), ITAR & EAR regulations, EU regulations, international control regimes, etc You will have a vast array of managerial skills for leading change management projects, including for policies and procedures, tools, and the related training and communication either at national and group level You will have the ability to mediate and communicate when dealing with a wide range of people from different background, while engaging with transversal projects Head of Export Compliance Stevenage, Hertfordshire Permanent Up to £80K Bens Keywords: Trade Compliance, Export Control, Export Compliance, Spire, F680, ITAR, EAR, Export Administration Regulations, Defence, Military, Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
