Overview
Senior Healthcare Assistant Our client based near Stevenage is looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to support the residents in their elderly care home. The beautiful property is home to 25 residents with Dementia who require support to live enriched and active lives as far as they are able to. Location: Welwyn Garden City, AL8 Hours: Full time, 40 hours Salary: £8.50 per hour - £10.50 per hour dependent on experience Role Type: Permanent Requirements for a Senior Healthcare Assistant As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will be committed to providing the kind and compassionate care you would expect for your own family members. Working as a key member of the team you will support the residents at the home providing the continuity and high standards of care that the home is known for. Key Responsibilities as a Senior Healthcare Assistant • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in healthcare • Demonstrable experience of working within elderly/dementia care settings • Assist the management team with the administration and medication records according to company policy and legislative requirements. • Lead and support the team to champion residents' safety and dignity • Collaborate with other team members and external agencies to achieve person-centred support plans The ideal Senior Healthcare Assistant • Right to work in the UK • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or higher • Keen drive to provide compassionate person-centred care • Senior Carer/experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step to further your career • Minimum of 2 years’ paid experience in care • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Person-centred care experience • Attention to detail and accuracy within administrative skills and computer literacy. • Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service • Must be able to provide 5 years of satisfactory references pertinent to the role Additional Details Benefits: Free Parking, 28 days holiday inc Bank Holidays.
