Overview
Senior Healthcare Assistant We require a Senior Healthcare Assistant to work for our client based in Stockport. Providing support to elderly residents with Dementia and supporting the Management team in the day to day operations of the 50 bedded property. Location: Bramhall, SK12 Hours: Full time, 40 hours Salary: £19,000.00 - £22,000.00 dependent on hours worked Role Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities as a Senior Healthcare Assistant • Experience of working within elderly care • Minimum of 2 years’ paid experience within a similar setting • Ensure the administration and medication records are managed in line with company policy and legislative requirements. • Lead the care team by example with regards to residents' safety and dignity • Provide strong support and leadership to the care team • Collaborate with other team members and external agencies to achieve person-centred support for all residents • Contribute to cleaning and laundry duties within the home • Able to manage difficult situations with compassion, tact and diplomacy The ideal Senior Healthcare Assistant • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or higher • Senior Carer / experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step in their career • 2 years’ paid experience in care minimum • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Right to work in the UK • Experience of person-centred care • Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to home care services and risk management • Attention to detail and accuracy within administrative skills and computer literacy. • Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service • Must be able to provide 5 years of satisfactory references pertinent to the role Additional Details Benefits: Free Parking, 28 days holiday inc Bank Holidays.
