Overview
Head of Operations - Wolverhampton £50k-£60k plus company bonus & Car allowance Head of Operations Manager to work in their UK Aerospace manufacturing unit based in Wolverhampton. PURPOSE OF JOB Responsible for the planning and operations of production. To provide operational direction to the business and to build effective relationships with customers and suppliers. As part of the Senior Management team to participate in management initiatives and steering groups. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS Formal education to Degree level or equivalent in engineering Direct experience in Toolmaking/aerospace manufacturing Demonstrable success in operational management Experience of performing in a busy and rapidly changing environment PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Achieve agreed targets and maximise profit opportunities Develop and maintain effective policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement Effectively plan and deploy available resources Recruitment and selection Lead teams to strive for on time delivery Effectively manage raw materials and WIP Ensure competitive supplier pricing Actively participate in the company management team Training and development of teams through clearly defined and measurable objectives Network with key customers, suppliers and competitors to understand the marketplace and provide appropriate operational direction and enhance opportunities for business development Produce and present and report meaningful and accurate key metrics.
