Overview
Our client is an established, award winning brand that uses naturally derived ingredients and essential oils to produce toiletries that care for the hair and skin of newborns, babies and children. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing, ethical and ambitious team. The Procurement Manager will manage all existing suppliers and develop sustainable purchasing strategies that are aligned to the objectives of the company. Key responsibilities for the Procurement Manager: - To liaise with key stakeholders to determine product and service needs - Deliver procurement best practice and mitigate risk - Execute procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing - Control and management of all cost of goods across the business - Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and sustainability - Build strong relationships with existing and new suppliers - Negotiate and agree contracts - Work closely with technical team on new products - Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities - Produce regular reports on spending and saving - Evaluate bids and make recommendations - Provide the business with regular market intelligence and early notification alerts Procurement Manager skills needed: - CIPS accredited - Cosmetics industry experience advantageous - Strong negotiation skills - Knowledge of packaging, ideally in the commercial care sector - Commercially aware - Strong analytical skills - Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure - A self-starter - Strategic planning skills - Understanding of forecasting and demand planning The Procurement Manager qualifies for these fantastic benefits: - 25 days annual leave - Dental plan - Private medical cover - Pension - Life assurance - Income protection - Regular socials
