Supplier Quality Engineer £35k – £50k per annum Our client is a growing engineering company based near Milton Keynes who offer their employees the opportunity to create remarkable products in a fast paced, progressive environment. They are currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work with their supply chain to ensure the delivery of components and sub-assemblies of the utmost quality. You will also support the development of their quality processes and procedures to fall in line with their in-house requirements. Primary Duties of the Supplier Quality Engineer: - Monitor and develop supplier quality performance, following the quality management system guidelines - Support the completion and review of APQP and PPAP documentation for a range of engineering projects - Contribute to supplier selection, qualification and approval - Undertake supplier development activities to enable them to adapt to different project requirements - Support the development of QMS documents, ensuring compliance to ISO 9001 and IATF16949 standards - Work closely with internal teams to develop and document specific quality requirements for each project including control plans, process maps and PFMEA - Investigate any non-conformances and supplier corrective action reports (SCAR) and undertake corrective and preventative actions - Audit against ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will ideally have completed a degree in a relevant engineering subject and have significant experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within the automotive industry. You will have strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and preferably IATF 16949 quality standards, it would be beneficial to hold a relevant qualification and have some experience in training towards these standards too. You will be capable of specifying and applying PPAP and APQP requirements, carrying out supplier assessments and discussing and implementing corrective actions in supplier processes.
