Overview
Bank Support Worker - Hays Social Care - Children's Residential Relief Support Workers needed in Swansea. Supporting children with learning difficulties, emotional behavioural disorders and poor mental health. Your new company We're currently looking for a Bank Support Worker to assist our team of Support Workers at supported housing schemes across the Swansea area. Your new role The role will involve shift work to cover our current colleagues' annual leave and sickness. This role would be ideally suited to someone who has some spare time in their week to cover available shifts, sometimes at short notice. The purpose of this role is to provide ad hoc housing related support to vulnerable people who live on the scheme. You will work with our customers on a one to one basis, this could include: providing cover for a scheme open 365 days a year, ensuring customers have a point of contact if necessary and enabling independent living. This role would not involve any personal care. . What you'll need to succeed Previous experience as a Children's Support Worker or similar role is essential coupled with a positive attitude, integrity, initiative and an approach to delivering excellent customer service. Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
