Overview
As a Learning and Development Manager, you will join a Learning and Development team which is committed to helping colleagues achieve their potential. As part of this team, your initial focus will be on building management capability across the organisation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced learning and development specialist to apply their skills in a results-driven, fast-paced environment that is frequently changing and values innovation. The role will involve developing an understanding of the skills and capabilities needed now and in the future to achieve our strategic objectives, assessing key skills gaps and designing and implementing creative and blended learning solutions to fill them You'll have demonstrable success in conducting learning needs analysis, design and delivery of training, vendor engagement, evaluation and reporting on improvements in capability. You'll be adept at interacting and influencing stakeholders at all levels of management and leadership. To be successful within this role, you will have a passion for driving high performance through learning and development interventions and will be committed to developing your own learning and understanding of current best practice. You'll have experience of delivering joined up, effective People solutions through close collaboration with relevant People partners, in particular working with HR Business Partners. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Support the creation and implementation of new L&D strategies from concept to implementation Identify learning needs and make recommendation for appropriate solutions Design and execute fully blended programmes and interventions to meet development needs, working with vendors where appropriate Monitor and report on activities, performance, costs as required and evaluate the impact and effectiveness on individuals and business outcomes Grow and develop management capability in line with identified requirements Facilitate and deliver management training and coaching, as appropriate Develop and implement high impact and innovative digital L&D resources Create policies for new and existing offerings Build effective relationships and work closely with senior managers and wider HR team to ensure engagement Act as a professional and approachable L&D point of contact and advisor for the business Driving a culture of continuous learning and be committed to their own professional development Network internally and externally to share relevant experience and best practice Monthly/quarterly reporting of MI demonstrating progress EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Over 5 years' experience in a learning and development or HR Business Partner CIPD qualification or working towards one Demonstrable application of the full training cycle, including evaluation of effectiveness Conducting learning needs analysis Development of fully blended learning programme Demonstrable track record of delivering improvements in management and/or leadership capability Comprehensive knowledge of new learning and development practices and methodologies Understanding of current best practice and access to a broad L&D network Strong stakeholder management skills
