Technical Claims Analyst

Technical Claims Handler Stockport Monday to Friday: 09:0am to 17:30pm £35,000 to £42,000 (DOE) plus Excellent Company Benefits Due to continued success in the insurance and claims industry our client is looking for an experienced Technical Claims Handler to join their existing team in Stockport. Our client has been trading for over 20 years and continue to go from strength to strength both in the UK and Internationally. Role: The purpose of the role is to help develop and undertake analytical insight into Claims Data in order to deliver the following: Key Duties and Responsibilities: Analyse and effectively communicate insight on the drivers/influences on our claims costs Help identify the key areas for performance and cost improvements through review of MI Communicate the findings in a suitable format and be able to tailor to the audience Understand and monitor the external and internal influences on claims costs Undertake ad-hoc reviews on pockets of claims to either support hypotheses or identify issues Help develop improvement initiatives into projects with timelines and measurable indemnity benefit and ongoing controls Proactively identifying and developing process improvement Experience required: Experience within an analytical role preferably within the motor claims insurance industry Strong analytical and numerical skillset Ability to interpret complex data, bridge data gaps and identify areas of risk and opportunity An understanding of reserving and actuarial data An understanding of levers driving claims severity and frequency Strong communication skills In return our client will offer a competitive salary plus excellent company benefits and the opportunity to progress within the business.
