Overview
Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Clinical Psychologist to work in the Stoke on Trent area. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and will be paying around £30.00 per hour via an umbrella company. The role: We are looking for two clinical psychologists for a period of about 3 months to work with us to set up an exciting new service. Candidates will ideally be NHS equivalent Band 7 with two or more years experience. The service are establishing 2 early interventions hubs in the Staffordshire area, North and South (Newcastle under Lyme and Cannock). We envisage one psychologist being predominantly based in the south and another in the North with flexibility to travel. Key Responsibilities: The purpose of the service will be to deliver a range of services to support children, young people and their families from 5 - 19 (and up to 24yrs for children with SEND) across Staffordshire. Our aim is to transform Emotional Health and Wellbeing Services and improve outcomes for Children and Young People with mild to moderate EHWB problems, specifically those who are vulnerable and at risk. The Service is required to respond to CYP's needs at the earliest possible opportunity using short, Evidence Based interventions along with information, advice, guidance and a new exciting digital offer. The role of the Psychologists are to provide direct interventions with children and young people at higher risk, training support workers to undertake programmes of interventions and provide clinical supervision to staff. Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: Doctorate or equivalent in clinical psychology. Experience: 2 years experience working within a similar role. Compliance: Registered as a qualified Practitioner Clinical Psychologist with the UK Health Care Professions Council. Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently. Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
