Overview

A national care provider is seeking a Registered Service Manager for a Learning Disability and ABI Service in Leyland. The service is consisting of 8 apartments in a residential setting. The company itself supports people across the UK with learning and physical disabilities, brain injuries, autism and other needs. They operate in care homes and rehabilitation centres across the country and provide specialist care and support to people at home and in the wider community. The person should be motivated to manage the service, and able to demonstrate sound leadership and management skills and able to effectively manage change for the progression of the service and quality of care. Salary: £31,000 RMA and an NVQL4/5 in Leadership & Management Benefits: Life assurance, sick pay, pension, company rewards, childcare vouchers Key skills and Competencies: This is a Registered Service Manager position at the service in Leyland and as such the successful candidate will be required to register with the Care Quality Commission. This service is a large service with 800 care hours and the successful candidate would manage 18 staff in total. The candidate needs to have been a Registered Manager, be a strong leader who is skilled in managing a large and challenging staff team, with experience of Residential and Supported Living services. Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Commitment to delivering high quality care. Strong working knowledge of care standards and regulations. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Reliability and being approachable. The managers within the company are “hands on” so the successful candidate would need to have the capacity to be work different shifts and along with Senior staff, on call will be included in this role, so they need to be comfortable with this.
