Overview

Home Manager based at Gledhow, Leeds Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week. Commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Pontefract, Wakefield, Harrogate and Sheffield. Pension, Holidays 33 days holiday (inc. bank holidays), Life Assurance, Discount Scheme and DBS provided. You will be responsible for managing, developing and evaluating all aspects of services within the home, to meet and surpass current legislation and MHA's policies and procedures. You will enjoy the company of older people and be committed to delivering and developing the highest standards of care and support for residents to live their daily lives to the full, in the way they wish. We require an excellent communicator with experience in leading and motivating staff members. Your people skills will also ensure positive relationships with residents, relatives and volunteers as well as external agencies. With a background in health and social care, you will be an experienced senior manager, with a recognised professional qualification and a willingness to develop. You will need a 1st level Registered Nurse qualification and current PIN, with a recognised professional management qualification and a willingness to develop, however we will consider candidates that do not have a nurse qualification but have relevant experience in managing a home of this size and nature For more information about the role please review the Job Description here . Purpose-built in 2000, Gledhow provides nursing care for up to 50 people and goes to great lengths to fulfil all residents' needs, both physical and spiritual. Set in a quiet suburb of Leeds, the home remains well connected to the wider community and is less than a 15 minute drive into the city centre. All the private bedrooms are single and feature en suites, with several communal lounges and dining rooms for company and socialising, and the surrounding gardens are graced by a water feature.
