Outpatient Specialist Hand Therapist

Spire Manchester has a great opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our amazing outpatient physiotherapy department as a Specialist Hand Therapist. Duties and responsibilities To provide a high standard of hand therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients within the outpatient department. To take the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/ Hand and Wrist patients. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations. Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for the Hand Therapy assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks. Using clinical reasoning skills develop treatment plans that are appropriate to the patient taking into consideration their care, risks and wellbeing. Act as a Specialist Hand Therapist resource for musculoskeletal care to provide advice and support on assessment approaches and conclusions to colleagues and others, using highly developed clinical skills. This should be provided proactively and on request, with a particular focus on musculoskeletal injuries. Who we're looking for Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy) or equivalent Post graduate clinical hand therapy experience.
