Overview

SIG Distribution is currently looking to recruit a talented HR Business Partner to provide fast paced, multi-site HR support to the Sales part of our Distribution business, developing and implementing SIG Distribution Strategy and implementing Group HR Strategy whilst partnering and supporting our line managers in the achievement of their objectives. What does the role involve? As an HR Business Partner you will contribute to the development of the HR Strategy within the business, supporting and influencing senior management at a strategic level. You will provide a strong internal HR consultancy to support line managers and the Senior Leadership team to guide the SIG Distribution business in all matters relating to HR. You will enhance the people management capabilities of senior managers in relation to the development, retention and motivation of colleagues, whilst maintaining effective and legally compliant procedures for dealing with absence, disciplinary, performance management and re-structuring programmes. The role holder will work closely with HR Shared Services and the HR Advisors to ensure that all transactional HR processes are carried out accurately and in a timely manner and that all disciplinary and grievance related matters are properly addressed. In addition, the successful candidate will ensure that remuneration and benefit initiatives and standards are implemented and benchmarked, working closely with the Reward and Benefits team. You will work with the SLT to identify key employees and those with potential for further career development, to enable them to achieve this potential, whilst assisting in the succession planning processes for potential successors for middle and senior management roles. The successful candidate will need to be used to remote working as this is a national role and will cover Inverness to Bristol and all our sites in-between, so a willingness to travel and great diary management skills are imperative. The role may, from time to time, involve overnight stays. To be a successful HR Business Partner, you will nurture close working relationships with the HR Shared Services team, Managers within SIG, the Senior Leadership Team and the wider HR Team. You’ll need previous experience of working as an HR Generalist Business Partner in a fast-paced, multi-site organisation and be CIPD qualified to Level 5 – If you have Level 7, that’s even better You’ll need to have outstanding communication skills, be pragmatic and resilient with the ability to influence peers and colleagues to deliver results. You must have the ability to work as part of a team, but also individually under pressure to meet deadlines and targets.
