Overview

Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Disability Nurse Assessor to fill a full-time role in Hastings, Kent with an excellent opportunity for you to develop your existing skills and qualify as a Disability Assessor. You will be rewarded with a fantastic benefits package, with no weekend work required This role will grow your medical knowledge and work in a health and disability assessment role conducting appointments with applicants of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit. You will conduct thorough and consultative verbal assessments with people who are living with a long-term health condition and/or disability. You will work in the community conducting home visits as well as in the local assessment centres. You must be able to produce excellent written reports on the conditions presented to help the Department for Work and Pensions to make an informed decision around an individual's entitlement to the benefit. There is unrivalled investment in you as an employee and you will earn over 140 hours of CPD in your initial 3 months whilst completing an excellent training academy as you work towards accreditation as a Disability Analyst. This role will be a permanent Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, starting as soon as you can be available. You will be using your clinical skills in a new way and benefiting from the excellent work life balance. The salary for this Disability Nurse Assessor role is from £43,000 - £45,390 depending on location.
