Overview

The Montefiore Hospital has a new and exciting opportunity for a Lead Paediatric Nurse to assist in the launch of their new Children and Young people service. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exemplary planned care for patients aged from birth to 18 years Spire Montefiore Hospital in Hove is rated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). There are buses that stop in the vicinity and is also walking distance of both Hove and Brighton train station Duties and responsibilities Develop, plan and launch a new Children and Young People’s service within the independent sector. Review, assess and maintain clinical standards ensuring adherence to these. Undertake audit to ensure the service is exceeding the benchmarked standard. Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence based nursing care. Undertake competence assessment and provide knowledge and education to your colleagues involved with the CYP service. Oversee health & safety and infection prevention and control requirements specific to the CYP service. Ensure compliance with the CYP dashboard and quality improvement. Run/oversee CYP outpatient clinics for phlebotomy, allergy testing etc. Chair the CYP steering committee. Attend Spire Healthcare CYP cluster meetings. Prepare annual CYP governance report. Act as CYP Safeguarding Lead for the hospital. Highlight and drive business development opportunities for CYP services. Review feedback from patients/parents and undertake complaint resolution.
