Overview
Process Operator (FLT) Temp-Perm / Shift Work Kidderminster £10.57 per hour (equating to £22,000) Adecco Worcester are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our Kidderminster based client who are looking for a Process Operator (with a Counterbalance License) to join their team on a temporary-permanent basis. Our client is a global specialist within Chemical Engineering and have an excellent staff retention rate; this role has become available due to a staff member's impending retirement. Please note this is a physical production position with limited use of the forklift; so would not suit someone looking for a forklift role. Duties: Working closely alongside a Reactor Operative to provide all assistance with Chemical materials to maintain reactor efficiency. Carrying out a drum blending production process predominantly alone. Dependant on temperature of product time may vary. Discharging and decanting materials to required containers in addition to storing waste prior to disposal. Creating and printing labels to utmost accuracy (as inaccuracy can have huge implications on exported goods). Good IT skills are required. Packaging customer samples ready for despatch. Identifying any non-conforming materials within the warehouse area. When staff shortages arrive help with additional duties to include; unloading bulk tankers and loading delivery trucks. Checking stock levels of raw materials in reactor area, restocking as required. Working hours 40 per week: this role requires you to work a rotating shift pattern as follows; Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6am-2pm. Week 2 - Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm. Week 3 - Monday to Friday 10pm-6am. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience within a production position is required. Ability to work alone at times. Full training is provided, however you'll need to be interested in learning scientific processes. Ability to work all shift patterns stated. Candidates must have a Counterbalance license (ideally valid, recently expired licenses will also be considered). A keen passion for Health and Safety is required, due to the chemical nature of the role.
