Overview
An international media agency who specialise in FMCG and Retail are looking for an experienced Principal Analyst to join their UK team. The Principal Analyst applies and inspires the adoption of advanced data science and the best in class processes and techniques for statistical analysis and modelling, BI dashboards development, analytics automations, consumer initiatives and best practices within the Data and Analytics department. The role will work in partnership with the UK commercial team to build commercially viable business solutions that deliver value for the business and external customers through quantitative analytics, as well as supporting the senior leadership team in identifying actionable insights to support top line strategic decision making to drive the business towards their overall goals and objectives. Key responsibilities: Apply advanced statistical and mathematical concepts to build commercially viable solutions that add value to the business and its clients Align with the EU Analytics team to design, develop and/or implement high quality advanced analytical and statistical models, visualization and data science techniques for personalised customer journeys, customer segmentation, classification, and insights Align with the EU Analytics team to formulate new and creative ideas for leveraging the business's vast collection of data in the databases and establishes accurate and scalable analytics systems across varied applications Work with senior management and key internal and external stake holders in identifying and prioritizing actionable, impactful insights across a variety of core business fronts, driving informed decision-making across the business and, hence, enhancing the business's capability to achieve goals and objectives Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data analysts What they're looking for: Master or above degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other related quantitative field Substantial experience working on strategy or full-life cycle data science as well as experience working with data mining tools such as SAS, Python, Spark and R Good skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, NoSQL, Tableau/PowerBI, Salesforce, or other data visualization tools Experience working with deep learning algorithms and large datasets as well as experience working with unstructured data and experience cleaning and manipulating data Exceptional interpersonal skills - collaboration with various functions will be key to your success What they offer: Young and fun team with a flexible working culture Flexible working split between home and their Berkshire based and London offices Excellent benefits, as you'd expect from a global business
