Back-End Java Software Engineer, Bristol Your new company Join a leading-edge technology team who help their customers improve their most important assets across multiple sectors. Your new role You will be working as part of a team developing software solutions, for example working on communication projects, and leading-edge technologies. As a Java Software Engineer, you will be producing and maintaining back end applications to meet customer requirements, documenting your code and the design practices used in your projects, whilst also using various software development tools for tracking issues, handling software unit testing and configuration control. What you'll need to succeed As a Back End Software Engineer, you will need to have an understanding of the following: Java 8 () Agile or Waterfall methodologies Automated testing SQL RESTful web services Hibernate and Spring frameworks Development of Web or Desktop applications Well-developed communication skills An understanding of the following would also be desirable: TDD Rabbit MQ GIT, Maven, Eclipse, Groovy What you'll get in return You'll join an exciting and well-recognised global company as they continue to grow their software development team in Bristol.
