Overview

Reading HR are partnering with a housing association in West Berkshire to recruit for a Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager. This role will take the lead on all aspects of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion work within the organisation. You will lead on a high profile strategic Inclusive Employer Programme that will drive through Change, and help everyone play their part in transforming the way the organisation embraces Diversity. Based in Basingstoke, Hampshire £38,000-48,000 PER ANNUM 30-37.5 hours per week Excellent benefits including 25 Days annual leave, pension - up to 12% contribution, private medical, flexible working The responsibilities of the role: Cultivate a culture of belonging across the organisation so all employees can bring their whole authentic selves to work to be their best they can be and provide the best service for our customers. Engage, advise and collaborate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to drive our EDI strategy which underpins our People Strategy. Periodically review the EDI strategy, establish priorities and put in place plans to ensure our EDI agenda is delivered and embedded. Support the business in their knowledge and scope of EDI by promoting best practice and advising as needed including but not limited to: Working with our Resourcing team to attract diverse talent from diverse backgrounds Working with our L&D team to design training programs and coaching initiatives to raise awareness and develop our diverse internal talent Working with our Communications team to champion communication internally and externally to raise awareness of diversity and our activities Working with the Customer Service teams to better understand customers so we can tailor services to their diverse range of needs and ensure our services are fair and accessible to everyone Working with the Employment and Training team to support customers into work or training. Use data to produce reports providing advice and presenting creative solutions to promote diversity and inclusion in everyday work life at all levels within the organisation for consideration by the EDI Forum. Review workplace, policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive. Service the quarterly EDI forum including arranging and minuting, updating the action plan to ensure we remain on track and producing a progress report for the Executive Board to provide assurance. Partner with external organisations and networks to drive EDI strategy and create a positive societal impact. Keep abreast of changes in legislation that impact on our EDI strategy and ensure relevant and prompt information is communicated throughout the organisation as required. This is a Senior Leadership role, and will be suitable for someone who has excelled within a similar position previously. You will have a proven ability to drive organisational culture change, an transformation, and set up measures of success that enable continuous improvement within a complex context. It will also be essential to have highly developed knowledge of current legislation and key equality, diversity and inclusion concepts.
