Overview
Based in Greenford, The successful NPI Buyer must be able to analyse data and execute based on that analysis. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted deadlines for new product introduction. We export 80% of our production to 44 countries around the globe and intend to produce over 55,000 bikes this year but believe that we're just getting started. Description The successful NPI Buyer will have the following responsibilities; To be the main link between the Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality and the Supply chain team Update essential system planning data for NPI to ensure our system is effectively planning future requirements Plan and execute procurement of raw materials from global suppliers Help the identification, development and implementation of new suppliers to the AVL Maintain existing working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries Develop and introduce new suppliers that meet the needs of the new product designs, whilst delivering the overall needs of the business e.g. Integrated Management System Complete supplier audits and develop scoring matrixes Support the PACE process, in particular, the "prototype", "beta", "factory" and production builds Develop and nurture a culture of "can do" and a positive atmosphere Track costs for all new projects against budgeted expectations Develop transition packages from NPI to standard product buying, that encompass Warehousing and Procurement Develop a relationship with the supply base that enables fast turnarounds for prototypes Help identify and introduce the brand to new manufacturing techniques Manage your workload Establish item packs for new items that covers the item life cycle, including item set-up, vendor contracts, Service level agreements and tooling agreements Complete special projects and assignments as requested Work with the implementation team for the new ERP and be an integral part of the ERP Supply Chain team Any other jobs that may be deemed necessary by the NPI Buyer Manager Profile The successful NPI Buyer must posses a range of the following; An awareness of Health and Safety law and best practices Background in a Engineering/Manufacturing environment Must be able to use Microsoft Office suite Must be highly proficient in MS Excel Must exhibit good interpersonal skills Must be able to prepare, plan and execute on your own initiative Keen attention to details Numerical skills are an absolute must Work as part of a cross functional team as well as on your own initiative Must have a "hands on" approach and a can-do attitude Punctual, methodical & reliable Provide a wide range of solutions Working experience within an ERP environment Fluent in English Job Offer Basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000 Huge discount on your very own bike family and friends get discount too) Position to thrive.
