Overview

Cranstoun are proud of our reputation for providing innovative, pragmatic and high-quality treatment and recovery services to individuals and communities affected by alcohol and drugs. Our charity operates from fourteen sites across the Midlands and South East. You will be a key member of the Quality and Governance Team, working alongside motivated and knowledgeable team members to support our services. As Cranstoun’s Health and Safety Advisor, you will promote the culture of a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring we meet our legal and statutory obligations in addition to best practice. You will advise and support the facilities functions across all the service sites. This will involve undertaking internal audits and providing guidance/support to colleagues on a variety of health and safety issues. As our appointed competent person, you will be required to review and renew any relevant accreditation and policy documents. You will also contribute and support managers with continuity planning. You will hold a relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH) or equivalent, and have experience providing centralised support to multiple sites, with travel required when necessary. With effective communication skills, you will be self-motivated with an ability to respond flexibly to the demands of the post. We cannot accept CVs for this post. Closing date: 24 April 2020.
