Due to increased workflow we have an urgent requirement for a contract Project Microbiologist to join our highlight motivated team. The Project Microbiologist will offer technical advice to the Microbiology Leader and implement any improvement actions deemed necessary. You provide expertise and perform validation activities for upcoming site projects including Machine move, Cleanroom capacity extension and new Micro Laboratory build. Key Responsibilities: Completion of validation documentation for establish product lines Risk based assessment of sampling locations and EM program. Ensuring that Microbiology project are completed fully to agreed timescales. Authoring validation documentation to integrate with overall project plans and validation strategies EXPERIENCE Essential: Experience in a GLP / cGMP laboratory within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry, or similar Knowledge of standard microbiological procedures (environmental monitoring, bioburden, bacterial endotoxin test, identification of microorganisms, sterility tests) Competent user of Microsoft packages Desirable: Understanding of gamma irradiation sterilisation Use of SAP QUALIFICATIONS Minimum degree level qualification (e.g. BSc) in a Biological sciences subject (including a module in Microbiology), or equivalent Orion Electrotech Ltd acts as both an Employment Business and Employment Agency and complies with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations Act 2003.
