We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers close to the Yeovil area of Somerset. Experience is not essential, but if you have empathy, a desire to help others and a willingness to learn, then you could have what we are looking for. It is essential that you are a car driver. This role would be working in the Ilminster area and is approximately a 15-mile commute from Yeovil. Support Worker – job description You would be working within a Supported Living service which support up to 10 adults with Learning Disabilities/Autism. The service is really social (there’s always something going on) and most of the service users are really active. You will help them continue to enjoy the activities they love and encourage them to engage with the community. You will also: Provide active support and help with daily living skills. Assist with chores around the home. Liaise with families. Accompany service users on holidays and trips. Provide very minimal personal care- more prompting and verbal support. Pay rates, hours & benefits £8.26 per hour £65 per sleep. Full and part-time hours with mixture of shift patterns which will include days and sleeps on rota basis. (Must be Flexible.) 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time). Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers.
