Overview

Support Worker – up to £18.00 per hour Ramsgate, Kent SCP Complex Care are recruiting for experienced support workers to work in Ramsgate & Broadstairs Our Ramsgate package will be supporting a 6 year old female. Our client has mabry syndrome and symptomatic epilepsy. She is fed via nasogastric tube. The shifts will be 5 X 10 hour night shifts weekdays. In Broadstairs we require support for a 12 year old male. Our client has severe learning difficulties & visual impairment. He is diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy (Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy). He is mobile however does have the use of a wheelchair. He is fed via Gastro - Jejunostomy. He often has vacant seizures. You must have experience of the following: Gastrostomy and/or Jejunostomy, BIPAP, Dysphagia, Epilepsy, Mobilisation , Knowledge of Makaton or British Sign Language would be beneficial. Also the administration of medication & cough assist. The shifts will be : 3 x Waking nights (22:00pm - 07:00am) One of the nights must be a Thursday. We are looking for individuals who have compassion and commitment that can support making positive changes to someones life. You should also have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
