Android Developer Knutsford 6 months Key Accountabilities Application Development (70%) Solid experience with Android/Java/Kotlin Know your way around a Linux terminal (but advanced bash scripting skills are most welcome) Implementing complex user interfaces and navigation flows Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services Collaborate and communicate with other developers to build efficient technical solutions. Manage all software engineering quality standards / benchmarks. Technical Team Leader (15%) Technical leadership for application architecture Mentoring and support for Android development team members Ability to manage Advice and Guidance (A&G) documents and project Plan and Estimates (P&Es) that impact applications / products within domain. Technical Consultancy (15%) Ability to manage Advice and Guidance (A&G) documents and project Plan and Estimates (P&Es) that impact applications / products within domain. Create prototypes to explore innovative solutions and features Person Specification Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: Experience with the Android SDK, Java, NDK, C++ Experience with JSON concepts and REST APIs Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred Knowledge of HTML5, Angular, Ionic. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Familiarity with continuous integration BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours (preferred).
