Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers Two multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers are urgently required to join a high quality manufacturer of Cable Management Solutions and Advanced Metal Framing Systems located in the West Bromwich area. You will be responsible for the running of equipment and machinery, overseeing maintenance, organising repairs and controlling / monitoring devices. Ideally you will have experience of working with cold roled forming, mechanical presses, moulding and welding machinery. Duties & Responsibilities:- • To facilitate breakdown rectification & repair, as well as planned preventative maintenance, recording any adverse symptoms or trends; • Offer essential technical support; • Provide extensive electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis; • Promote best practice and give continuous & sustained reliability to production; • Working towards agreed performance criteria as part of the departmental and site KPI's; • To respond to and assist with breakdown/emergency situations on any items of plant or equipment as necessary (possible call out); • Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods; • Report any malfunctions to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components. Qualifications & Experience:- • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English; • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Electrical/ Mechanical; • 17th / 18th Edition Electrical Qualification; • Time served in a mechanical and electrical discipline; • Experienced in both mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis; • Able to work up to heights of 25 metres; • Full driving licence. Personal Attributes:- • An understanding of engineering drawings and principles; • The ability to manage a varied workload; • An awareness of health and safety legislation; • Effective written and verbal communication skills; • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative. This is a genuine straight Permanent job opportunity (Not Temp to Perm). It is initially a double day's position working mornings (6:00am – 2:00pm) and afternoons (2:00pm – 10:00pm) with the intention of moving to a full 3 shift pattern of mornings, afternoons and nights. The salary will be starting from £30,000 (depending on experience) and there will be a 22% shift premium for days and 25% for nights.
