A fantastic global, yet independent, medical communications agency based in the UK is looking to add a Principal Medical Writer to their award-winning and well-respected team. This is a truly unique and rare opportunity for medical writers to join a team on a permanent basis that can rival the flexibility and freedom that the freelance medical communications market boasts. The Company The medical communications agency has had an influx of new business which has sparked the need for additional writers to support them on their newly acquired accounts. The agency works with some of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry and is known to push the boundaries in terms of innovation. Homebased Principal Medical Writer Role They are in a position to assign their Principal Medical Writers to specific accounts/projects depending on their strengths and preferences – a rare opportunity. You will provide scientific leadership and editorial delivery expertise working closely with the Delivery Team Leader and supporting writers to deliver high-quality projects to their clients. Essential Experience Science degree, preferably in life sciences (PhD level highly desirable) Extensive medical writing experience gained within a medical communications agency, Experience working across a diverse range of communications materials, preferably within medical education. In return, you will receive a salary in the region of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience), excellent support and ongoing career development. The agency has also said that there is also the potential for the writing test to be waived if the Principal Medical Writer is in possession of a substantial portfolio of work at this level.
