Overview

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to work for a brand new Tobacco Addictions service in Central Manchester. Due to open its doors in April this newly funded operation with provide intensive support to target groups across the city. This is an excellent opportunity for an RGN or RMN who has a keen interest in addictions, and is looking for Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm working hours only. It is not essential that you have experience within Addictions but you must be able to demonstrate your interest in the field of nursing and show how you have worked to gain experience, transferable skills, and how you have come to be interested in, tobacco, drug or alcohol recovery services. The package / benefits of this RGN or RMN - Tobacco Addictions Nurse role include: Generous salary of up to £29,556 - £33,568 per annum (37.5 hrs per week) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Thorough induction Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm with some flexible working Excellent training and development opportunities We are looking for driven, passionate and motivated Registered Nurses to help initially with the implementation of the new, exciting service and to mobilise the new contract in Manchester. Successful candidates will promote the benefits of stopping smoking and the tobacco addiction service through a variety of mechanisms to a number of identified organisations via a range of venues and events which will include: Delivery of services from a wide variety of community venues & a mobile van for service deliver Undertake assessments, plan and deliver tobacco addiction interventions including include nicotine replacement therapies Administer and supply pharmacotherapy options. Undertake the procurement, storage and management of nicotine replacement products and prescribed medications The ideal RGN or RMN - Substance Misuse Nurse will possess the following: RGN or RMN qualified with relevant experience Demonstrable experience or interest in smoking / tobacco addictions Smoking cessation experience is highly desired Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK If you are an experienced Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a passion for Smoking / Tobacco Addictions and have all the skills and credentials outlined to work in this Outstanding service, please either click APPLY or call Kio at Leaders in Care on 0161 416 6189.
