If you’re a kind, warm and compassionate person and like to have a positive impact on peoples’ lives, then working as a Care Assistant for Four Seasons Health Care will be the right role for you. You’ll find The Cedars and Larches Care Home conveniently situated in Ilkeston. We run a busy activities programme, including annual pantomimes, church services, we have good links with the local authority and church. We also offer pet therapy, where local pets visit regularly, which has found to be extremely beneficial to our residents. With 61 beds our Care team offer residential care for people who need help with daily tasks, nursing care for those who have complex medical needs, and respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break. Our dementia care is accredited as part of Four Seasons Dementia Care Framework. You will be delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, your daily tasks will include supporting them with washing, dressing, eating and maintaining their hygiene, as well as ensuring they feel part of life in the home. This will see you providing care, warmth and kindness to help make a difference. You also will develop relationships with our residents’ relatives which will support you in understanding their needs more and developing that personal care. If you possess these qualities then experience of working as a Care Assistant isn’t necessary. We provide you with excellent learning, development and support opportunities, to equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the role. The Four Seasons Care Academy offers opportunities via digital learning and practical skills training and a range of career progression routes via our ‘Careership’ programme. Our Care Assistants must be 18 years of age or over, Apprenticeship opportunities are available for 16-18 year olds. Rate of pay may vary dependent on age.
