Overview

Change Public Practice are working with a Big 4 Firm, on a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join their Audit Insurance Team in London. The successful candidate must be a Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent, with experience of working with clients in either the Financial Services, or more specifically, the Insurance sector. You’ll be part of a growing and dynamic team working with a significant number of listed companies, across all areas of insurance - Life, Non-Life, Lloyd’s and Broking. The Insurance Audit Team forms part of the Financial Services Team where there are opportunities to provide a range of Assurance Services and Business Advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Clients of this Firm are often well known brands and many have a broad international reach. This Firm has the latest technology thereby reducing the level of manual testing, ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of clients’ information. In this Firm you’ll find a strong collaborative atmosphere and great calendar of social activities. They also support a variety of local community initiatives. Key responsibilities within this role include: · Establishing the root causes of issues and tackling them, as opposed to the symptoms · Taking action to ensure everyone has a voice and inviting opinions from everyone · Initiating open and honest coaching conversations at all levels · The ability to easily move between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail · Anticipating stakeholders needs and developing and discussing potential solutions, even before stakeholders realise they are required · Developing specialised expertise in one or more areas · Advising stakeholders on relevant technical issues for their business area · Navigating the complexities of global teams and engagements · Building trust with teams and stakeholders through open and honest conversation · Upholding the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct Essential Qualifications: · Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent Essential Experience: · Experience of working with clients in either the Financial Services sector or more specifically with Insurance clients · Strong focus on and passion for audit quality, delivering exceptional client service and coaching teams · Proven ability in leading audit engagements, including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments · Strong project management and technical (auditing) skills · Focussed and initiative driven · Strong analytical and organisational capabilities · Experience in supervising and developing colleagues through coaching · Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships · Displaying an inclusive, collaborative approach and operating in a respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community · Communicating with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear Desirable Experience: · Knowledge of International Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP would be an advantage · Highly developed listening and questioning techniques Personal Attributes: · Personal value of delivering high quality work · High level of drive for success, a positive attitude, enthusiastic outlook, agile mind and resilient in times of pressure · A team player who collaborates and communicates with respect · Effective time management skills and well organised · Ability to switch easily between strategic thinking and detail · The ability to work autonomously, take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve relationships and processes · Desire for continuous improvement Rewards: You’ll receive a competitive remuneration package, flexible benefits where you can select the benefits that matters to you, excellent L&D and flexible working arrangements.
