The University have recently undergone a review of its Procurement capabilities and operating model, and has subsequently put forward an exciting 3 year transformation programme. As part of this transformation, we are recruiting 2 outstanding, ambitious Assistant Sourcing Managers ( Construction & Facilities Management / Professional Services & Academia ) to support the delivery of Category Plans which in turn underpin the sourcing strategies of the University. Reporting into the Sourcing Manager for (Construction & Facilities Management or Professional Services & Academia) and playing a key role in the ambitious procurement function change programme, your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the category vision including the development and delivery of Category Plans - Increasing levels of understanding of the Category both internally and externally - Highlighting risks and issues, and recording progress through periodic reporting and leading on low value procurements - Establishing working relationships and proactively and collaboratively engaging with the relevant stakeholders The successful candidates will have strong negotiation and commercial experience and a track record in delivering multiple procurement projects using Project Management techniques. This experience could have been gained within any sector. Results-orientated and resilient, with high standards and a commitment to excellence; you must have excellent communication and influencing skills to enable you to build sustainable and productive relationships with stakeholders; and a can-do attitude to ensure you proactively support the ambitious aims of the new procurement function.
