Overview

Gi Group Doncaster are currently recruiting for two Post Room Clerk on behalf of our rapidly expanding Data Processing client based on the outskirts of Rotherham. This is a perfect opportunity to join a well know, reputable company during their a period of rapid growth and success; joining an established team. The role will will initially be an ongoing temporary role. HOURS & PAY There are two shifts available; SHIFT 1: Sunday to Thursday - Sunday - 7pm to 6am &Monday to Thursday - 10:30pm to 5:30am SHIFT 2: Sunday to Thursday Sun to Thurs - 10pm to 6am Flexibility is required as work fluctuates and increases DUTIES INCLUDE; BUT NOT LIMITED TO: - Taking deliveries of postal bags from couriers - Ad-hoc duties such as operating scanning and counting machinery and counting cheques - Post handling; opening, sorting, processing and filing - Moving delivery cages around the office - Sorting cheques by bank - Opening postal bags and placing into boxes - Scanning envelope slips - Using envelope counting machines - Using scanning machinery THE CANDIDATE - Able to work quickly with high levels of accuracy in a fast paced and reactive environment - This role does include some heavy lifting and will be required to stand up for long periods of time - Previous experience within a production or postal handling is desirable but not essential. - Methodical approach to work Due to the nature of the business; candidates will be expected to pass a credit check and DBS check before starting work.
