Job Title: Weekend Waking Night Worker Grade: 14 - 21 (£18,600 - £22,622) based on 37.5 hours, pro rata for part-time working Hours: Weekend Nights available only, part-time (please state availability on application form) Location: Coventry available Rota Pattern: 9:30 pm – 7:30 am Are you looking for a Change in Career or to gain valuable experience in the field of Social Care/Social Work? We are committed to developing your knowledge base and skills and financially support all new staff to undertake the NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Residential, where needed. Job Purpose: As part of a team in a residential setting; to work with families on a day-to-day basis providing detailed evidence-based assessment recordings in line with the National Assessment Framework. Key duties will include: To observe and record the parents’ abilities to meet the immediate safety and care/welfare needs of their children. To undertake individual sessions of work with families in order to promote positive parenting. To examine and observe the nature of the interactions between the child, family and environmental factors and are key in helping make sound recommendations and to inform on future planning. To provide appropriate advice and guidance to families in accordance with their work programmes. To work in partnership with families, colleagues and professionals To provide a high quality, dependable service which meet our charity’s values and standards. To provide childcare for children whilst their parents/carers attend Groups and Individual Sessions. To take responsibility for the security of the building and maintain a safe environment for residents. To contribute towards ongoing risk assessments of families, acting decisively to protect children. To carry out admin and domestic duties. To actively promote Dudley’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults at a level appropriate to this group.
