Embedded Software Engineer

Eden Scott's client is a world leader in a fast-growing market. Due to continued success and growth, there is now the requirement for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the business. Responsibilities will include: Developing new & enhancing existing embedded software for company products Analysing system and software requirements, architect solutions, design, test and maintaining embedded software Taking software designs through the full software engineering lifecycle (from initial spec to product release) Liaising with other engineering functions (systems, hardware & mechanical), production and other colleagues to ensure product & customer requirements are fully satisfied Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in software engineering, computer science or equivalent with at least 3 years' experience working within embedded software engineering. Furthermore, excellent C/C++ programming skills are required, in a real time, embedded environment. A strong understanding of embedded skills is essential as is experience of debugging and testing real-time embedded software designs. Good knowledge of industry standard communication interfaces (RS232, RS485, USB, Ethernet, etc.) is needed as is previous experience of debugging systems / software using JTAG development tools.
