Supervising Social Worker - Fostering (Part Time)

An Independent Fostering Agency rated GOOD in all areas by Ofsted, are looking for an experienced part time , Locum freelance Supervising Social Worker, to help support existing carers and growth in Wilts and Swindon. This contract is for 12 months and doing 8 hours per week. Responsibilities for the Locum Supervising Social Worker: Supervise experienced foster carers living in Wiltshire and Swindon. Contribute to the foster carer's initial and post-approval training programme and contribute to running foster carer support groups. Support approved foster carers by regular visits, telephone calls, attendance at children's reviews and liaison with the child's Social Worker Take responsibility for ensuring children are in safe, caring placements that offer protection Promote the service to Local Authorities liaising with appropriate Managers and Social Workers and ensuring information is given to facilitate matching all children's needs to suitable foster carers Benefits for the Locum Supervising Social Worker Part Time Competitive pay at £35 per hour Friendly and Supportive management team who are always available Protected caseloads Free DBS through Charles Hunter Associates Work from home opportunities The Locum Supervising Social Worker must have: An in-depth understanding of the Fostering Services National Minimum Standards and Fostering Services Regulations. At least 2 years' experience working as a social worker - ideally within the fostering sector Full driving license Requirements of the Locum Supervising Social Worker: Fostering: 2 years (Preferred) Social Work England registration Bachelor's (Required) Part-time hours: 8 hours per week £35.00 /hour
