Overview
Warehouse Operative / Depot Administration Assistant with excellent customer services, time management, administrative and organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative is required for a busy Depot based in Penrith, Cumbria, North West England. SALARY: Competitive (Dependent upon Experience) LOCATION: Penrith, Cumbria, North West England TYPE: Full-Time, Temporary – 8 Month Contract (April to November 2020) KEY REQUIREMENT: Candidates must hold a valid Clean Driving Licence & Counterbalance FLT / Fork Lift Truck Licence is essential PLEASE NOTE: This is a split role between administrative duties and moving stock around the warehouse. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Depot Administration Assistant that has excellent customer services, time management, administrative and organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative with experience of working in a challenging and demanding work environment. Working as the Warehouse Operative / Depot Administration Assistant your time will be split between warehouse duties, such as picking, packing, loading vehicles, unloading deliveries and stock reconciliation and administrative tasks, such as processing documentation, responding to enquiries and general office administrative duties. As the Warehouse Operative / Depot Administration Assistant you will have excellent time management skills with the ability to deal with telephone, email and direct customer enquiries in a timely manner. DUTIES As the Warehouse Operative / Depot Administration Assistant your duties will include: • Carry out any administrative tasks as required • Respond to telephone and counter enquiries, including dealing direct with customers • Assist with processing of all necessary documentation relating to incoming and outgoing stock and deliveries • Movement of stock around the warehouse which will involve some physical handling of stock • Picking / packing stock, loading and unloading of delivery vehicles IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • Have excellent customer service skills • Good communication and administrative skills • Be a great team player • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work on your own initiative • Be IT / computer literate • Knowledge of stock management systems • High attention to detail • Hold a valid clean driving licence is essential • Counterbalance FLT / Fork Lift Truck Licence is essential • In addition, in a business where seasonal fluctuations frequently impact upon the demands of the team, a flexible approach to working hours is essential HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
