Security Lead (SOC) I nverness Who you'll be working with With incidents of cyber-crime frequently in the news, Capgemini's clients are increasingly conscious of the need to protect their systems and data. The successful applicant for this role will join our Highland Security Operations Centre (HSOC) based in Inverness. As part of Capgemini's Global Cybersecurity Unit, we deliver a range of services to a number of private and public sector clients, some of whom are bound by extremely complex security regulations. You will work as part of a multi-client team, but will have focus on specific client accounts at any given time. The focus of your role As a Security Lead you will report to the UK Security Operations Manager. As a professional in the Security sector you are expected to keep pace with a fast-moving IT landscape and possess a range of superior IT skills. You must be able to communicate effective strategies with a range of stakeholders. As a consultant, you will be expected to identify gaps in current IT or Cyber Security practices and recommend best practice solutions to reduce risk and maximise business opportunities. The role is full time with a 37.5 hour week worked Monday to Friday Core Hours. As part of the mutualised HSOC team HMG security vetting clearance at SC level is required. Successful applicants not already in possession of SC will need to achieve this during their probation period; HSOC staff will assist and advise. What you'll do Provide advanced information security risk assessment consultation for all aspects of information security compliance policy, risk management and remediation Review proposed control standards for business impact and recommends modifications or clarifications as required Provide technical guidance to the Security Teams on a range of technologies Promote teamwork whilst also coaching and guiding team members Act as an escalation point and liaison for clients, delivery teams and third parties Assist analysts with queries, ensuring that any recurring queries are documented using the established knowledge base Identify weaknesses and potential threats to existing information security toolsets Participate in regular management meetings Ability to drive and lead a project to completion and sign off Prepare reports for internal and external clients detailing the security issues, making recommendations and identifying solutions Review and promote improvement across the service Update your knowledge by participating in training opportunities and research latest information security trends. What you'll bring Experience both fundamental and practical of Group Policy, Active Directory, Firewall technology and Risk Management Experience in or knowledge of "Service now "ticketing platform. Desirable but not essential A methodical and meticulous approach to your work with the ability to process large amounts of information to solve problems The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Experience with service management tools - EARS/ITSM Significant experience in most of the following areas and a good understanding of all: Threat Intelligence monitoring and escalation Interpretation of logs (e.g. OS and Network) Intrusion Detection/Protection (IDPS) Systems Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms End Point/Antivirus Security.
