Manual Test Engineer - Mid-level - £30k - £40k We're looking for a talented Manual Test Engineer who is looking to join a company offering great opportunities for career development. We're working with a growing digital business that is disrupting its market in a big way. You'll be joining a Test team who love to collaborative to evaluate and embrace new technologies as well improving the overall QA practices. Day to day you'll be joining a multi-disciplinary squad and as the Manual Test Engineer you'll be involved at the earliest opportunity in the feature briefing / planning stage to ensure quality is baked in throughout the SDLC. You'll be required to fully participate and push back when things aren't right and you'll work alongside your team during the sprint to plan and create test cases for each piece of work and alongside your team to decide which of these needs to be automated. Skills / Experience required: You'll need to have 3 years of QA experience along with strong working knowledge of SCRUM, Kanban, TDD and BDD. You'll need a strong working knowledge of relational databases preferably Microsoft SQL Server along with experience of contributing to the test planning sessions with the squad. You'll have expertise in documenting defects with a high level of detail, accuracy and informative recreation steps in a variety of test management tools. You'll have strong working knowledge of using Test Management tools like VSTS, Jira or Quality Centre and experience of integrating QA automation as part of a Continuous Integration process. Any knowledge / understanding of working within the Micro-Services world would be a big advantage. As you'll be working very closely with the Developers it is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to talk confidently within the squad.
