Support Worker Location: Dundee. Salary: GBP £9 per hour. We are looking for individuals who love helping and supporting others, in a rewarding and challenging job role. You will work directly with adults in their own houses and out in the community; supporting them to participate in activities and develop life skills such as communication, social skills, and independence. We are looking for individuals who are nurturing, resilient, enthusiastic, reflective, adaptable and have a genuine passion for the work we deliver within Sense Scotland. We work on a variable shift pattern depending on the individual needs of the people we support. All staff working on a rota basis can expect to work a mixture of early shifts, late shifts, wakened night shifts and sleepovers. For all roles that we are currently looking to recruit, we are looking for staff to work flexibility on our rota, which will include evening and weekend work. This role could be for you if • You look to make positive changes and think about how to improve service quality for the benefit of users. • You have excellent communication skills • You are professional and can deal with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner • You have a flexible attitude to working hours, and can commit to working on a rota basis that is out with • You are educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience) • You are comfortable and confident in using a computer and are IT literate • Have a good knowledge of services Sense Scotland provide • An understanding of Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and care standards within Scotland • You have experience of working within a social care role (Desirable) • Driver (Desirable) Closing date for application is Sunday 8th March 2020.
