Overview
I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join an exciting and impressive company in Whitchurch. Having enjoyed continuous growth they are looking to develop the management accounting function with this newly-created role. Working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will have a purely commercial remit, this is more than just producing the numbers and will really develop your management accounting career. Duties will include: Assist with the month end management accounts preparation. Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts with underlying systems and records. Management of the Purchase Order system. Assistance with year-end schedules and audit queries during the year end cycle Production of weekly and monthly KPI reports for the leadership team and group reports as appropriate. Liaise with department KPI contributors to challenge KPI's that are "out of the norm", understand reasons and ensure this is communicated to the wider management team. Completion of National Statistics reporting and other ad hoc submissions Support in the maintenance of the Customer Profitability Model. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting process. Update management system for pricing changes. Deactivating and reactiving accounts with appropriate control processes being followed. Creation of new accounts and performance of credit review process. Support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in ad-hoc tasks, duties and projects. Qualifications & Experience: Relevant financial qualification or experience (Relevant degree/AAT qualified/2 years experience/CIMA or ACCA part-qualified) Strong Excel skills and systems-savvy Understanding of accounting principles Ability to work within a team Excellent interpersonal skills Drive to achieve results and exceed goals Benefits: Salary up to £30k DOE 31 days' holiday including bank holidays Auto enrolment pension Free parking
